Screen Size
Screen size affects the device’s dimensions and weight. It measures the distance between opposite corners in inches. Up to 14" are ultraportable, 14–16" versatile, 17.3"+ for desktop replacement.
Panel Type
The panel type affects display quality. Different panels vary in color, contrast, and viewing angles. TN panels are affordable and fast. IPS panels offer wider angles and more accurate colors, while OLED delivers the best quality.
Resolution
Maximum resolution – the highest number of pixels a display can show, measured horizontally and vertically. Higher values provide more detailed and sharper images. The most common resolution is 1920 × 1080.
Refresh rate
Refresh rate — the number of frames displayed on the screen per second. A higher refresh rate ensures smoother visuals. For everyday tasks, 60 Hz is sufficient, while a refresh rate of 120 Hz or higher provides a competitive advantage in gaming.
Brand
For basic tasks, device performance depends more on the processor model than on the brand. Certain features, such as Thunderbolt data transfer technology, are developed by Intel and supported only on devices with their processors.
CPU Model
CPU Model – an encoded designation of the processor’s specifications. Higher numbers indicate a more powerful chip. The final letter shows special features: for example, U stands for low power consumption, H for high-performance graphics.
Cores, pcs
The number of cores refers to the physical computing units of a processor. A minimum of 2 cores can handle basic tasks, while a higher core count boosts performance, ensuring faster and smoother operation of apps and games.
Clock Speeds, GHz
Turbo frequency is the processor speed above its base level, achieved using Turbo technology. It allows the CPU to automatically boost performance to its maximum when handling resource-intensive tasks.
GPU model
GPU Model — the specific graphics card model with its own features and capabilities. The letter prefix (e.g., GeForce RTX) indicates the performance class, while the numbers denote the generation and position within the lineup.
RAM (capacity), GB
RAM capacity refers to the amount of memory installed on the device. The more RAM available, the faster and smoother the system responds. For handling demanding tasks, at least 8 GB of RAM is recommended.
LED flash, autofocus
f/1.8 + f/2.2
GPRS, EDGE, HSPA/HUSPA/HSPA+, LTE
Bluetooth
Bluetooth allows devices to exchange data wirelessly within about 10 meters. It’s mainly used to connect wireless peripherals — such as mice, speakers, and printers — to laptops, PCs, tablets, and smartphones.
NFC
NFC is a contactless data transfer technology that works within a range of up to 10 cm. It is used for fast and secure interactions with contactless payment terminals, smartphones, smart cards, and NFC tags.
Case Material
The body material defines the device’s look, weight, durability, and strength. Laptop cases can be made from plastic, polycarbonate, carbon fiber, aluminum, metal alloys, fabric, or even leather.
